When the effect "face-up Equip Cards you control cannot be destroyed by card effects" is being applied, monster cards treated as Equip Cards (such as Union monsters) and Trap Cards treated as Equip Cards (such as "Chain Boomerang") also cannot be destroyed by card effects.
When the effect "face-up Equip Cards you control cannot be destroyed by card effects" is being applied, as long as the Equip Card is face-up on your field, Equip Cards equipped to monsters other than "Armed Dragon Protector" also cannot be destroyed by card effects.
