If this card attacks a face-up monster on the field, at the start of the Damage Step: Destroy that monster. Its DEF must be higher than this card's ATK to activate and to resolve this effect.

It does not target.
If "Scoop Shooter" itself attacks an opponent's face-up monster, and that opponent's monster's DEF is higher than "Scoop Shooter's" ATK, this effect activates automatically at the start of the Damage Step.
If "Scoop Shooter" itself attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, or if the opponent's monster's DEF is equal to or lower than "Scoop Shooter's" ATK, the monster effect of "Scoop Shooter" does not activate.
