This is a Trigger Quick Effect that can be activated from the hand.
If the targeted monster is face-up in your opponent's Monster Zone when the effect resolves, that monster has its effects negated. (If the targeted monster is not face-up in the Monster Zone when the effect resolves, this effect is not applied.)
If the monster to which this effect has been applied becomes face-down Defense Position, the application of this effect is removed.
If the monster to which this effect has been applied leaves the Monster Zone as a cost to activate its own effect, or leaves the Monster Zone due to the cost or processing of an effect activated in a chain, it is negated, so that processing is not performed.
