The effect "Special Summon this card from your hand in face-up Defense Position" cannot be activated when a "Galaxy" monster in face-down Defense Position in your Monster Zone is targeted for an attack.
The effect "When this card is Special Summoned by this effect: You can Xyz Summon 1 'Galaxy' Xyz Monster using only 'Galaxy' monsters you control as material" is a Trigger Effect that activates on the field when "Galaxy Tyranno" is successfully Special Summoned by its own effect. (This effect does not target.)
When you activate the effect "You can Xyz Summon 1 'Galaxy' Xyz Monster," you perform an Xyz Summon using only face-up "Galaxy" monsters in your Monster Zone as Xyz Material. (The monsters used as Xyz Material must be appropriate for the Xyz Summon of the "Galaxy" Xyz Monster being summoned.)
