You can only perform a Summon (a Normal Summon, where you place a monster from your hand onto the field in Attack Position) if you control a face-up "Ghostrick" monster in your Monster Zone.

【Regarding the effect "You can change this card to face-down Defense Position once per turn"】

This is an Ignition Effect that can be activated in the Monster Zone.

[Regarding the effect: "When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: You can change that opponent's monster to face-down Defense Position, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand in face-down Defense Position."]

This is a Trigger Effect that can be activated from the hand.

This effect does not target.

When resolving the effect, you perform the action of "change that opponent's monster to face-down Defense Position." If you successfully change it to face-down Defense Position, you then perform the action of "Special Summon this card from your hand in face-down Defense Position." These actions are treated as occurring simultaneously.

This effect cannot be activated when a Monster Token or a Link Monster declares a direct attack.

If, at the time of resolution, the opponent's monster that declared the direct attack is unaffected by this effect or is no longer face-up in the Monster Zone, no part of the effect is applied. (This card remains in your hand.)
