The monster effect "(1): You can send 1 Fairy monster from your hand to the GY; activate one of the following effects" is a Quick Effect. (Sending 1 Fairy monster from your hand to the GY is the cost to activate this effect. This effect can also be activated during the Damage Step.)

The effect "● When your opponent activates a monster effect, or a Spell/Trap Card: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card" is activated in direct chain to the activation of your opponent's monster effect, or Spell/Trap Card. (It cannot be activated in chain to the activation of the effect of a Continuous Spell or Continuous Trap Card.)

The effect "● When your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s): You can negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy that monster" is activated against a Special Summon that does not create a Chain Link, such as a Synchro Summon, Xyz Summon, or Pendulum Summon.
