During either player's turn, if you control a face-up "Heroic" monster: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; for the rest of this turn, you take no Battle Damage and "Heroic" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle.
The monster effect of "Heroic Challenger - Sword Shield" is a Quick Effect that activates in the hand.
The monster effect of "Heroic Challenger - Sword Shield" can be activated at any time except during the Damage Step, provided you control a face-up "Heroic" monster in your Monster Zone.
When activating the effect, you send "Heroic Challenger - Sword Shield" itself from your hand to the Graveyard as a cost.
The effect "Your 'Heroic' monsters cannot be destroyed by battle" applies not only to "Heroic" monsters that are face-up in your Monster Zone at the time the effect resolves, but also to any "Heroic" monsters that are newly Summoned or Special Summoned to your Monster Zone during the turn this effect is applied.
