(No Chain Link is created when performing an Advance Summon this way. Also, when performing an Advance Summon this way, you can only Summon it in face-up Attack Position. You cannot Set it in face-down Defense Position.)

The monster effect "If Summoned this way, during each End Phase, take 1000 damage" is a Trigger Effect that activates only once during each End Phase of both players, provided "Enginoid - Shiryu" was Advance Summoned by Tributing 1 monster via its own effect. (This effect does not target.)

If "Enginoid - Shiryu" is Advance Summoned by Tributing 1 monster while its Level has become 5 or 6 due to "Cost Down," the monster effect "take 1000 damage" will not activate during the End Phase.

The monster effect "If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage" is a Continuous Effect.
