Target 1 Rank 5 or higher Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 "Number C" or "CXyz" monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster you control, by using that target as material. (This is treated as an Xyz Summon. Transfer its materials to the Summoned monster.) When a Rank 5 or higher Xyz Monster(s) is Special Summoned to your field while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can add this card to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force" once per Duel.

This is an effect that activates in the Graveyard and creates a Chain Link.
It cannot be activated during the Damage Step.
It can only be activated immediately after a "Rank 5 or higher Xyz Monster" is Special Summoned to your field while this card is in your Graveyard. If the monster was Special Summoned by an effect activated as Chain 2 or higher, or if another process occurred immediately after the monster was Special Summoned, you cannot activate this effect.
It can be activated even if the condition is met during your opponent's turn.
When resolving this effect, even if the Special Summoned monster is no longer face-up on the field, the effect is applied as written.
