A Chain Link is not created when performing a Special Summon this way.
When performing a Special Summon with its own effect, as a procedure, you Tribute 1 WATER monster you control in your Monster Zone, and then perform the Special Summon. (It is not treated as finishing with the process of Tributing.)
When Special Summoning "Sharkraken", you can also Tribute a WATER monster you control in face-down Defense Position.
"Sharkraken" is a Normal Monster. (Even if it has been sent to the Graveyard from the hand or Deck, it can be Special Summoned by the effect of "Monster Reborn".)
