Spellbook of Life

When activating "Spellbook of Life", you must banish 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Graveyard as a cost, and reveal 1 "Spellbook" Spell Card from your hand, other than the "Spellbook of Life" being activated, to your opponent.

"Spellbook of Life" is activated by targeting 1 Spellcaster-Type monster in your Graveyard.

The effect to "target 1 Spellcaster-Type monster in your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position" and the effect to "equip this card to it" are treated as occurring simultaneously.

The effect "the equipped monster's Level increases by the Level of the Spellcaster-Type monster banished to activate this card" is an effect that does not start a Chain. It is applied immediately when the targeted Spellcaster-Type monster is Special Summoned from the Graveyard and "Spellbook of Life" is equipped to it. If the application of the effect ends (e.g., "Spellbook of Life" is destroyed), the monster's Level immediately returns to its original Level.

If the targeted monster is no longer a Spellcaster-Type monster at the time of effect resolution, the Special Summon is not performed.

Even if the monster banished as a cost is no longer a Spellcaster-Type monster at the time of effect resolution, the effect "the equipped monster's Level increases by the Level of the Spellcaster-Type monster banished to activate this card" is still applied.
