The monster effect "Once per turn, you can excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the number of cards your opponent controls. (This effect does not target.)

The process of "excavate cards from the top of your Deck equal to the number of cards your opponent controls" is performed, and depending on the result, the process of "If there is a Plant-Type monster among the excavated cards, send all of those monsters to the Graveyard" and the process of "Return the remaining cards to the bottom of the Deck in any order" are performed. (If there are no Plant-Type monsters among the excavated cards, only the process of "Return the remaining cards to the bottom of the Deck in any order" is performed.)

The monster effect "If this card is excavated from the Deck and sent to the Graveyard by a card effect, you can target up to 5 'Sylvan' cards in your Graveyard, except 'Sylvan Lotuswain'; return them to the bottom of the Deck in any order" is a Trigger Effect that activates in the Graveyard. (This effect targets up to 5 "Sylvan" cards in your Graveyard, excluding "Sylvan Lotuswain". It can also be activated during the Damage Step.)

When resolving the monster effect "you can target up to 5 'Sylvan' cards in your Graveyard, except 'Sylvan Lotuswain'; return them to the bottom of the Deck in any order," even if one of the 5 targeted cards is no longer in the Graveyard, the remaining targeted cards are returned to the bottom of the Deck.
