Effect
When this card you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: You can excavate the top card of your Deck, and if it is a Plant-Type monster, send it to the Graveyard. Otherwise, place it on the bottom of your Deck. If this card is excavated from the Deck and sent to the Graveyard by a card effect: All Plant-Type monsters you currently control gain 300 ATK and DEF.

The effect of "Sylvan Citruswurm" can be activated whether it is destroyed by battle with an opponent's monster or destroyed by an opponent's card effect. (However, this effect cannot be activated if "Sylvan Citruswurm" is destroyed by an opponent's card effect that was activated as Chain 2 or higher.)
The monster effect "(2): If this card is revealed from your Deck and sent to the GY by a card effect: You can activate this effect; all Plant monsters you currently control gain 300 ATK/DEF" is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target. It can also be activated during the Damage Step.)
The ATK/DEF increase from the effect of "Sylvan Citruswurm" remains applied even after the turn it is activated. (It is not an effect that is only applied during the turn it is activated.)
